Additional history that happened since the last application):

Though Blake had meant to use his human form primarily as a means to be closer to Blue and understand the complexities of the school better, he quickly found interests of his own between his studies and his routine patrol of Smash Academy. His nocturnal lifestyle often meant spending hours on his own, during which he developed a fondness for reading, music, and other arts of the like he had never taken into consideration before, back when his focus was solely on survival. Kyogre, as a fellow Hoenn-dweller, took a shine to the Mightyena's modest nature and diligence and appointed him as the TA for ancient literature. Blake accepted the job, curious about this man who claimed to be the rain god under his human face and wanting to get closer to the Pokemon that his mother told him about from her days in Team Aqua. This position also meant he began to spend many more hours in the library. Perhaps it was the fact that Vianca, the librarian, was also a very quiet watcher of people with striking red eyes, but he found himself growing more comfortable in her prescence as well.

On the whole, however, Blake didn't like to stir up much of a fuss - Jock was loud enough for the both of them, anyway. He'd get dragged along with whatever the Arcanine was doing, usually, or pressured into host clubs by his roommate, 'Seth'. All things that he would grin and bear with, ever polite and never complaining. On his own time he scavenged and learned, always curious about anything that might affect his clan.

Those other pursuits became a much lower priority when the people of FDC began displaying a growing amount of violence and anger towards nonhumans, though. It made Blake extremely uneasy, and after a run-in with a mob he decided that it would be safest to stay close to Blue from then on. (After all, if the horror of Jock being turned into a Wooper taught him anything, it was that even the strongest of them could be reduced to a useless lump.) So he remained at her side, in his ball usually. Even on nights where she let him out to stretch his legs, he never ventured father than her room - but he did find himself sorely missing the books that would normally occupy him, and the freedom of exploring the night.

When the conflict between Warren and Eggman came to a climax and Blue was hurt by Jock's shadow bug clone, however, it became clear to Blake that this would no longer be enough. He did not approve of Jock remaining in the clan, and he questioned Blue's judgement in allowing it - though he never spoke of his misgivings out loud. But it was clear that he needed to be more than simply available to her. If he had been more proactive in seeking out the threat that Warren posed rather than letting his suspicions go unspoken, perhaps she would've never been harmed. There were many things that a shadow could do, independent of its mistress but still in service of her. It was a new semester and he would be her eyes in the dark.

Personality Changes:

Philosophically, Blake is unchanged. For all that people tried to encourage him to be more trusting and confident, recent events have only reinforced his belief that he needs to be completely on guard. If his Mistress is too forgiving, then he must be the one who keeps his suspicions high and focused on threats to her person. There are times when modesty and meekness must be put aside, and the Dark Type has become much more willing to do things without Blue's permission - or indeed, even behind her back - if need be. He's become a lot frostier in that regard - he certainly hasn't forgiven Jock yet, for instance - and more firm. Blake's love for his own interests have waned since he's been away, but they may yet be rekindled.
